On December 20, the founding meeting of the Space Microbiology and Infection Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association was held in Beijing. Professor Liu Changting of the PLA General Hospital was elected as the first chairman. Chairman and Chief Scientist Li Guopei of Shenzhen Kangfeng Environmental Technology Development Co., Ltd. was elected as a standing committee member. Presidents Li Haiyong and Wang Wanjun were elected as committee members.

        Hao Ruisheng, deputy secretary-general and director of the office of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, read out the "Response of the Chinese Research Hospital Association on the Establishment of a Space Microbiology and Infection Professional Committee", led by the PLA General Hospital to form the Chinese Research Hospital Academy Space Microbiology and Infection Specialty The committee will make a good overall plan for academic exchange, achievement transformation, professional talent training and discipline construction and development.

        According to reports, space microbiology is an emerging discipline that has accompanied the development of manned spaceflight in China. Its original intention was to solve the problem of microbial infections in space activities; with the development of manned spaceflight, many technological achievements derived from manned spaceflight have been Penetrating and applying to many fields, how to use space resources to carry out microbial research to serve the ground has become the main research content of space microbiology.

        Professor Liu Changting is also the director of the Space Microbiology Data Center, and Chairman Li Guopei is the deputy director of the center.

        On that day, 11 vice-chairmen, 1 secretary-general and chairman of the youth committee, 22 standing members, 61 expert members, and 4 deputy directors of the youth committee were elected. At the same time, 9 academicians were hired as consultants.

        After the founding conference, the first academic symposium was held. Professor Liu Changting and Professor Yang Ruifu made special reports entitled "Basic Theory and Application of Space Microbiology" and "Application of High-throughput Sequencing Technology in Bacterial Research", Many experts held free speeches and discussions, and more than 100 members attended the meeting
